Rademacher DuoFern Sun Sensor

The DuoFern sun sensor is a wireless sensor designed to control privacy and sun protection, and enables light-dependent control of up to 5 DuoFern devices.

When used with the SmartHome Box, this 2-in-1 sensor can also function as a vibration sensor. This allows it to detect vibrations, such as those caused by an attempted break-in.

The sensor attaches to the windowpane using the suction cup on the back and features a modern, compact, and slim design (35 x 74 x 21.4 mm).

It features Up/Stop and Down/Stop buttons on the sensor, which allow for manual control of registered DuoFern devices. A particularly convenient feature is that the built-in orientation sensor automatically detects the mounting orientation (horizontal or vertical) and automatically configures the buttons and LED scale accordingly.

A multicolored menu LED displays the menu options for Sun, Vibration, and DuoFern in sequence. Here, you can use the convenient LED scale to set the appropriate brightness and vibration thresholds. If a selectable and individually set threshold is exceeded, the sensor sends a radio command to all registered receivers. This allows, for example, the roller shutters to be lowered to the set sun position.

When the DuoFern sun sensor is integrated with the SmartHome Box, both measurement values can be used as triggers for actions. For example, in strong sunlight, all the roller shutters on the south side of your house will close, or if a vibration is detected, the SmartHome Box will send a push notification to a smartphone.

The sun sensor is powered by a standard battery (type: CR2450) with a service life of approximately 4 years.
