Homematic IP Window and Door Contact

The Homematic IP Window and Door Contact reliably monitors doors and windows in the smart home system. Instead of magnets, it uses an optical sensor with an infrared light barrier, which reduces installation effort. The sensor detects the status of doors and windows and communicates with the radiator thermostat to automatically regulate the heat supply during ventilation. A signal delay prevents unnecessary opening and closing of the valves.

The sensor also monitors access to your home when you're away. If the door is opened without authorization, the alarm mode activates the Homematic IP siren and sends a push notification to your smartphone. The lightweight sensor is powered by a AAA battery, which lasts about two years.

Installation is easy using double-sided tape or the included screws. A brown cover cap and a reflective film are also included. The sensor is not compatible with the CCU2.
